Introduction
Ahmed woke with a sigh. He understood that he was going to spend his Saturday taking care of his parents once more. All his friends used invitations to spend time together on Friday through Sunday, but he could not. His elderly mom and dad called for him.
Early awakening
Ahmed forced himself out of bed. He then dragged himself to the bedroom of his parents in order to assist them with the sunrise. His dad growled as Ahmed assist him in positioning him up. His mum looked pale as Ahmed helped her get up gingerly. He felt exhausted already.
BreakFast
When he dressed up his parents, Ahmed fixed a breakfast meal for them to eat, with they seated on the table. He prepared some scrambled eggs with butter and some toast also. His parents ate silently. He and his wife have become weaker lately, so they cannot take proper care of themselves.\
Sad thoughts
This feeling was souring in Ahmed’s spirit from deep within. He opined he was denied his teenagehood . ahmed was seventeen years old, yet he had no right to have fun and enjoy life’s youth and instead had to look after two old individuals. He huffed audibly in the kitchen.
Parents Quarrel
“Is something wrong?” his mother said from the dining room table. “You don’t want to be with us anymore?” “No, Mom just tired,” Ahmed answered low. Anguish prick in his chest, he did not let go of his bitterness. After washing the dishes after breakfast, Ahmed assisted his mum in taking her medications. Well, that’s how you count that many bottles of pills. My son also required breathing treatments for his dad too. Carrying and shifting them exhausted all his strength. And the day had barely begun.
Friends Gathering
Some boys from the neighborhood visited in the afternoon and invited Ahmed to come out to play. He was so eager to become a member but he failed to. His dad had to get to the toilet and mom wanted assistance in preparing a meal for the family. The laughter of his friends died as they moved out of the house without him.
A Night Of Stress
Ahmed followed the example and after a very stressful day ended up lying in bed. He tried lying flat on his back and looked at the roof as his tension mounted. His youth, therefore, faded gradually, gradually and gradually, and gradually, because of the responsibilities of eldercare. He could not survive such life for the next two years until he joined the university. He just couldn’t.
Next Day
The next day was Sunday and Ahmed dragged himself through the motions of waking his parents, preparing food and administering their usual doses. As he slumped next to his dad after that, his gaze fell on the family Qur’an placed on the table. An idea came.
Calming
Ahmed took the holy book with hand and started reciting the Surah Al-Isra. One line struck me – ‘And your Lord has decreed that you should worship none but Him and that you should be kind to your parents. Ahmed read more. Well, the verses stressed on respecting mother and father and taking care of them despite the fatigue this work implies.
Rediscovering Purpose
He slowly began to realize that what he felt was resentment came purely from forgetting his religion. He was to serve family with mercy and compassion this was the main reason he was alive. That is why Ahmed realized that renewing this spiritually-oriented focus would help him; he understood that his burden would be removed. This was not an idle wastage – it was a noble occupation.
Parents Respect
Furthermore, Ahmed managed to stick to the newfound point of view during the following weeks. He paid respect to his parents in gentle manner and never perform duties in angry manner. ahmed discovered that he had a great deal of patience, which he had never considered he possessed. He was free with them on a promise of better days. Light entered the home again.
Ahmed’s Transformation
One day Ahmed’s father needed someone to accompany him on a slow walk around the block, and Ahmed was the one to do it. His father smiled more than he had for the past months. Ahmed: You know, recently, have been much politer with us. I feared we frustrated you. And now, you’re being so loving and caring towards us.”
Father love
Ahmed simply squeezed his father’s arm. This is why I knew it is actually a blessing not a curse, abūyā. What is family without the support for one another? His father stopped, turned around, and hugged him with a weird strength that had returned to him.
joyful memories
When they returned home late in the evening, surprised they saw cardamom tea which was Ahmed’s favourite made by his mother. They took time to share funny stories and laughter with the occasional teary eyes, recalling earlier joyful memories from by then past years.
Parents care
I am glad the bitterness he felt over caring for his aging parents had changed to joy in the end.The food was given to them in humility: his own shaking legs felt the earth beneath them once more.Subhan Allah, all that I read in the Qur’an recitation years ago was being whispered to me all over again right over his crib.
